As 2022 has come to a close and we start 2023, there is so much promise for the exciting new things to come! Poetic Motion is now in its 4th year and I could not be more grateful to everyone who has supported my dream! Truly, no amount of training could have fully prepared me to be an entrepreneur, but I have experienced so much genuine love and support for my dance business. The community that has gathered around Poetic Motion has been such a blessing and the reason for its success.
As a young boy, I dreamed that one day I would use my passion for dancing as a way to positively impact those around me. Poetic Motion realized that dream. I've found that dancing has had a way of helping people work through the ups and downs in their lives. I have watched faces light up with joy and have heard glee-filled exclamations of amazement as students have made new dance discoveries. In these moments of pure elation that I have felt my dream and purpose for dancing being fulfilled.
But the biggest part of my dream was having a dance partner to work with who would be the perfect match for my vision. And the day I met Susie (my beautiful wife), I knew that she would one day be my perfect partner. She inspired me to finally take the leap and start Poetic Motion, in November 2018. Her fearless nature in business has pushed me to grow in ways which I could not have possibly imagined. In turn, I have encouraged her to develop her skills in dancing. She has worked diligently on her technique as well as learning the ballroom dance syllabuses for American Rhythm, American Smooth, International Latin, and International Standard. Oftentimes, I have found her dancing for several hours by herself in my studio space, growing into being a beautiful dancer.
Today, I am very proud to announce that Susie is officially a dance instructor at Poetic Motion. She has assisted in teaching group classes, as my dance partner, for the last four years and now will be accepting students to teach private lessons. To say that Susie is incredible is an understatement! She oftentimes blows me away with her dance observations and discoveries. Susie is the dance partner that I have been searching for my whole career, and I am overjoyed that we will be working together to positively impact people!
