Dancing in the Summer: A Celebration of Joy, Community, and Connection

On June 13, we had the pleasure of hosting our Dancing in the Summer event, and it was everything I hoped it would be—an afternoon filled with beautiful music, laughter, movement, and wonderful people.

One of the things I love most about dancing is how it brings people together. Whether someone has been dancing for years or is taking their very first steps, the dance floor has a way of creating connection and making everyone feel welcome. Our summer event was a beautiful reminder of that.

Guests enjoyed social dancing, great conversations, and the chance to celebrate the season with friends old and new. The room was filled with energy, laughter, and a sense of community that made the day truly special.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was watching our dancers share their artistry and personalities through their performances. Karla performed an excellent waltz, bringing grace and poise to the floor. Lance and Lizette delivered an elegant and memorable waltz, beautifully incorporating their ballet technique with lovely lines and fluid movement. Kristen performed a wonderful Argentine tango filled with passion and expression. Frank and Kathy danced a delightful rumba, showcasing warmth, connection, and musicality. Franki brought fun and flair to the floor with a cool and sassy West Coast Swing that delighted everyone.

To close the performances, Susie and I enjoyed summing up the afternoon with our captivating cha cha, bringing a lively and joyful energy to the floor and celebrating the spirit of the entire event.

Seeing everyone support one another and celebrate each performance was a beautiful reminder that dance is about much more than steps—it is about sharing joy, creativity, and friendship.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success. Your enthusiasm and love for dancing created an atmosphere that was uplifting and inspiring. Seeing people connect, encourage one another, and simply enjoy being together is what makes these gatherings so meaningful.

A special thank you goes to everyone who volunteered, contributed, and supported the event behind the scenes. Events like these are only possible because of a community that believes in the power of dance to enrich lives and bring people together.

As summer unfolds, I am reminded that dancing is about so much more than technique. It is about creating memories, building friendships, expressing ourselves, and celebrating life. I am excited for more opportunities to dance, learn, and grow together in the months ahead.

Thank you for making Dancing in the Summer such a memorable day. I hope you left with happy memories, renewed energy, and perhaps a few new dance friends. Until next time, keep dancing and savoring the joy that movement brings!

With Gratitude,

Stas Trilisky
